Do you agree that Frazer’s concern with facticity is an attempt to authorise evolutionary anthropology and comparative mythology? Why should this be necessary if it is the case? What strategies does Frazer employ to achieve this authorisation? What is at stake for Frazer himself in his work and how does it contribute to the production of that very work?
